A New Concept In Ceramic Mosaics
Botteganove is both a creative project and a laboratory where ancient artisan know-how meets contemporary aesthetic research. Nove, a small location in the Province of Vicenza, is known throughout the world for its artistic ceramics and until a few years ago was a hive of industry buzzing with workshops and small factories. It was the desire to save what remained of traditional manufacturing that convinced us to stay local—among the clays, the moulds and the furnaces. The plasterwork items, decorated with iridescent materials and gold leaf or highlighted by the soft opacity of the porcelain are born from the evolution of ceramic mosaics, which we have reinterpreted along with our designers. Each piece is handmade and decorated, following traditional techniques, by artisans willing and able to dialogue with today’s design culture in order to give life to designs, which have both the uniqueness of works of art and a contemporary sense of beauty.

PLUMAGE
Plumage explores the theme of decoration through a subtle game of balancing contemporary design and traditional working methods. The collection comes in two types of three-dimensional tiles, either in hand-decorated ceramics or paste-dyed porcelain, starting from a wide variety of plumage.

PETALI
The tiles of the Petali Collection reprise the geometric pentagon, rendered delicate by smooth angles and curved surfaces that thanks to wet moulding create three-dimensional effects.

PERSPECTIVE
Clearly developed slightly asymmetrical lines give a sense of movement. From this idea stems Angel Spagnolo’s collection Perspectives, a mosaic of square three-dimensional tiles in which the off-centre vanishing point provides perspective.

DIAMENTINO
Diamantino has some very particular compositions such as the herringbone pattern. When the tile is two-tone, the glaze is always applied by brush, so as to combine gloss and matte finishes, applications of shinny or precious metals, thereby obtaining aesthetically striking contrasts.

HAIKU
Haiku, a collection designed by Studio Pepe, comes in three shapes combined to create different models.

CLINKER
The Clinker Collection came from the intuition to reinterpret a well-known form to the world of ceramics by means of the specific craft skills of the Botteganove workshop.

FLORA
Flora collection can be realized in refractory clay, stoneware or porcelain. Flora is available in different formats. This allows for personalized solutions, privileging movement or design, standard or individual tonalities.

NEW TOWN
For each palette of New Town there is a different composition of paints (up to 6 for different shades of red, blue and green). A complex process for an unmistakable surface that is both classical and contemporary at the same time.
